Woman Fights Off Attempted Sexual Assault Suspect With Pepper Spray

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver would like the public's help identifying a suspect in an attempted sexual assault.

According to police, on Sunday at approximately 2 a.m. a woman was followed by a man into a parking garage located near 18th and Market streets.

"Once at the vehicle the suspect pushed the victim into her car and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim sprayed the suspect with pepper spray and fought him off," police said in a statement.

The suspect ran away.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, 150 to 160 pounds and a thin build. He has close cropped hair. In surveillance photos he is wearing a white polo shirt with thin horizontal stripes, blue jeans, a blue baseball cap and white with blue basketball shoes.
