Tornado Confirmed In Park County
FAIRPLAY, Colo. (CBS4)- At least one tornado touched down in Fairplay Sunday morning.
The Park County dispatch confirmed that at least one tornado touched down in Fairplay about 11 a.m. Sunday. They were calling it a "critical incident."
It is not known if the twister caused any significant damage. Tornadoes that hit in the higher elevations in Colorado are rare but not unheard of.
There were no tornado warnings in the area at the time the tornado touched down.
