Convicted Arsonist Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- A judge in Jefferson County has sentenced a convicted arsonist to 22 years in prison for not only setting the fires but also for attempted murder.

Lucas Piper was sentenced on Tuesday for setting fire to a home with nine people inside in Lakewood in July 2013.

According to court documents, Piper and his girlfriend, Rachel Lewin, set fire to the home after they got into an argument after a concert at Red Rocks. There were minor injuries.

Lewin was also charged in the crime and will be in court later this week.
