Inmate Dies In Pueblo County Jail

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — The Pueblo County Sheriff's Department says an inmate has died at the county jail.

The 51-year-old woman died Friday afternoon. Her name hasn't been released.

The sheriff's department says jailers tried to resuscitate her after they noticed she was unresponsive, and emergency medical personnel arrived within minutes.

The coroner was notified.

Authorities say there were no obvious signs of foul play but an investigation is planned.
