Colorado Springs Police Officer Injured In Crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– A police officer in Colorado Springs was hurt in a crash that happened during a pursuit.

The police cruiser had its lights flashing while going through an intersection. That’s when a truck t-boned the officer.

The crash happened about 7 a.m. at the Academy Boulevard and Airport Road intersection.

The truck driver did have a green light but because the cruiser had emergency lights flashing the truck driver will likely be ticketed.

The officer suffered minor injuries. Three people in the truck were not hurt.
