Colorado Economic Indicators Seen As Positive

DENVER (AP) — A review of Colorado's economy in the first quarter of this year shows unemployment down and wages and personal income up.

The study by the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business was released Thursday by Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler. The head of the business school's research division, Richard Wobbekind, calls the indicators overwhelmingly positive, despite a dip in new business filings.

The study concludes that continued growth in employment, income and wealth is boosting confidence nationally and in the state.
