According to the Colorado State Patrol, at approximately 2 p.m. Ryan M. Gorter, 28, of Boulder was riding a motorcycle westbound on Larimer County Road 38E when he crossed over the center line and crashed head on with a motorcycle driven by Rick Ross, 55, of Loveland.

Troopers don’t believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, but excessive speed may have played a role.
