165,000 Passed Through DIA On Sunday
DENVER (CBS4) - Sunday was the busiest air travel day of the Thanksgiving weekend.
More than 165,000 people passed through Denver International Airport before the end of the evening. Peak times were in the morning and about 4 p.m.
"The pre-TSA checkpoint made a huge difference. They actually had to hold the plane in Charleston for some people who were having trouble getting through the line," traveler Cherie Sprague said.
Despite Sunday's long lines, DIA says the Fourth of July holiday is actually their busiest travel day with about 177,000 travelers.
