Pair Of Thieves Nicknamed Milli Vanilli Bandits Target Restaurants
DENVER (CBS4) – Police are searching for a pair of thieves they have dubbed the “Milli Vanilli Bandits.”
They duo is hitting restaurants in the Denver metro area, and police say the suspects show no signs of slowing their crime spree.
One of the suspects wears a long black wig and might resemble one of the singers from the disgraced 80’s pop duo.
Police say they could be responsible for at least eight armed robberies, including at Big Daddy’s Pizza on West Colfax Avenue Sunday night.
Another location includes a Jersey Mike’s Super Subs near 6th and Broadway, where a clerk says he was forced to open the register with a gun to his head. A Jimmy John’s at Alameda and Logan was also hit.
In every case the suspects have been armed.
Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said said it could just be a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt.
“We’re highly concerned because they are armed, they come in, they’re very aggressive and their actions have us greatly concerned,” Jackson told CBS4.
One suspect was described as being a white or Hispanic man about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, usually wearing a gray hoodie and gray mask or a black leather jacket. The other was described as being a black man about 6 feet tall, wearing a long black wig.
