11 Passengers Injured In Bus Crash Near Aspen
ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - The Colorado State Patrol says 11 people were injured when the commuter bus they were in crashed and rolled onto its side between Aspen and Glenwood Springs.
Trooper Nate Reid says a bus operated by the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority was headed west on Colorado 82 just after 7 p.m. Saturday when the driver tried to avoid rear-ending a slow-moving tractor. The bus, which was carrying 12 passengers, skidded past the tractor and hit a concrete barrier before rolling onto its side.
Reid says three of the passengers were seriously injured, and eight suffered moderate injuries.
