New Chief Of The Colorado State Patrol Sworn In
DENVER (CBS4) - "Driven and motivated" -- that's how Gov. John Hickenlooper described the new man in charge of the Colorado State Patrol.
Col. Scott Hernandez was sworn in Friday as chief of the patrol.
"Every single member of the organization is dedicated to saving lives, and that is what we do, and that's why we come to work every day," Hernandez said at the ceremony.
Hernandez has worked for the state in different offices for the past 26 years. During his time with the State Patrol he has focused on reducing accidents on state highways.
