Former Attorney Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison For Embezzling
DENVER (CBS4) - A former Denver attorney has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for embezzling more than $2 million from his clients.
On Friday James Faber pleaded guilty to violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act. Prosecutors say Faber solicited money from clients claiming he would invest it in oil and gas exploration. The district attorney's office says he instead spent the money on his business and investing in a martial arts studio.
A judge sentenced Faber to 10 years in prison. He's also been ordered to pay $4 million in restitution to the victims.
