Mother Bear That Wouldn't Leave Boulder Euthanized

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A mother bear with two cubs that has been hanging out in the Boulder area this summer has been euthanized.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers said the mother had to be put down. The bears were not leaving the area because of the easy food sources.

After a recent encounter with a dog the mother was euthanized. The two cubs are going to be relocated in the high country and officers predict they'll do fine because they are now old enough to make it on their own.
