DENVER (AP) – Flags are flying at half-staff across Colorado in honor of a Denver soldier killed last month in Afghanistan.

The Pentagon says Army Staff Sgt. Liam Nevins of Denver was killed Sept. 21 during combat operations.

Gov. John Hickenlooper has ordered flags lowered from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday.
