Denver Police Arrest Attempted Kidnapping Suspect
DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver have arrested a man suspected in an attempted kidnapping.
The incident occurred in the 3300 block of North York Street on Tuesday.
"An unknown suspect attempted to kidnap a 13-year-old victim while she was walking home from school," Detective John White said in a statement.
Police released a photograph of a white van that was connected to the crime. Officers found a vehicle matching the description at Bruce Randolph Avenue and Steele Street.
"Further investigation led to the arrest of Oscar Escobedo-Vasquez," White said.
Escobedo-Vasquez, 37, was arrested for one count of investigation of criminal attempt kidnapping.
Police haven't released Escobedo-Vasquez's photo because additional witnesses are being contacted.
