Police Arrest Possible Carjacking Suspect After Being Barricaded In Home

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver have arrested a possible carjacking suspect after he barricaded himself inside a home.

Police surrounded the home at 3rd and Federal Blvd. starting at 2 p.m. Thursday. Officer arrested the suspect about an hour later.

Police said the carjacking happened on Sept. 3. Officers spotted the car in the alley of the home where the suspect is hiding out earlier Thursday afternoon.

Police searched the home after the suspect was taken into custody. Officers would not elaborate on what they were searching for.

Northbound Federal Blvd. had been closed at 2nd and southbound lanes of Federal Blvd. had been closed at 4th during police activity in the area.
