2 Schools Close Due To Water Main Breaks

DENVER (CBS4) - School officials at two different schools across the Denver metro area have been forced to call of classes Monday due to water main breaks.

Monday is the first day of school for Denver Public Schools, but it won't be until Tuesday for students at McGlone Elementary School in the Montbello neighborhood. A water main break flooded parts of the school and officials made the announcement before students arrived.

In the Jefferson County School District, Everitt Middle School in Wheat Ridge called off their classes after students had already arrived.

School officials asked that parents come get their children or contact them to arrange how students would be returned home.
