Plane Goes Off Runway At Colorado Springs Airport
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — No injuries are reported after a private cargo plane ran off the runway at Colorado Springs Airport.
Assistant director of operations John McGinley tells The Associated Press a wheel brake locked up and the plane rolled onto the grass. He says the aircraft is a Swearingen Metroliner, a 60-foot-long twin-engine aircraft.
McGinley says mechanics are trying to fix the brakes and pull the plane back onto the runway.
