Driver Arrested In fatal Crash East Of Falcon
DENVER (AP) - The Colorado State Patrol says a driver involved in a crash that killed a mother and her young son has been arrested.
Troopers said Monday that Arica Vlach of Peyton was arrested on suspicion of seven counts, including two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The State Patrol says alcohol is being considered as a possible factor that contributed to Vlach running a stop sign on July 12 and crashing into a minivan about eight miles east of Falcon.
The crash killed minivan driver Nicole Enderle and her 3-year-old son, Alexander. Enderle's young daughter was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Vlach was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
It wasn't immediately known whether Vlach has a lawyer.
