Denver Police Search For 2 Suspects In Home Invasion

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver are searching for two suspects in a home invasion that left one woman hospitalized.

Two men broke into a home 8:30 a.m. near 47th and High Street in north Denver. A woman inside the home called 911 to report that two men invaded her home and demanded drugs and she says they also hit her over the head.

Police said the suspects might not have entered the home they meant to.

"I have no idea (why they targeted my house)," the victim told CBS4. "I was very scared."

A neighbor who lives down the street from the crime scene said her children were playing outside when the men broke into the home.

"That is scary because it's happened to me before," said neighbor Lauretta Gonzalez. "All the kids were out here playing."

Gonzalez said her children told her they heard someone screaming 'Stop it' and 'Help me' around the time of the home invasion.

Police haven't released a lot of information about the suspects. They are described as Hispanic males who likely drove off in a brown van. They also had their faces covered.
