Man Sentenced After 7-Hour Standoff
DENVER (CBS4)- A man accused of shooting at police and other crimes as part of a seven-hour standoff last fall has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term.
Ryon Olthoff pleaded guilty earlier to first-degree assault on a peace officer and was sentenced to 28 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections.
On Sept. 12, 2012 Olthoff shot at police officers before barricading himself inside a building at 3rd Avenue and Santa Fe Drive for seven hours.
He was eventually taken into custody by members of the Denver Police Department's SWAT team.
