Denver Sets More Tourism And Travel Spending Records

DENVER (Denver Business Journal) - A record 13.6 million visitors came to Denver in 2012 and spent a record $3.6 billion in the city, according to a study commissioned for Visit Denver that the organization released Wednesday.

The totals continued a multi-year trend of breaking records for the Mile High City and outpaced the U.S. market as a whole.

While the country experienced a 2 percent growth in overnight travel from 2001 to 2012, Denver's visitors grew 3 percent.
