High Winds Force Flights At DIA To Be Diverted
DENVER (CBS4)- Strong winds at Denver International Airport caused nearly two dozen flights to be diverted to other airports.
The high winds were recorded about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Once those flights were able to refuel they returned to DIA.
United Airlines diverted a total of 11 flights, including United Express, to Cheyenne, Wyo., Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Southwest Airlines diverted seven flights to Colorado Springs, Salt Lake, Utah and Pueblo.
Frontier Airlines diverted two flights to Colorado Springs and Cheyenne, Wyo.
Delta Airlines diverted one flight as did American Airlines and Air Canada.
