Colorado Man Sentenced For Having Dynamite
DENVER (AP) - A Colorado Springs man has been sentenced to two years in prison for being a felon in possession of dynamite.
Arthur Hickman, 45, pleaded guilty in February and was sentenced on May 29, U.S. Attorney John Walsh said Wednesday.
Colorado Springs officers investigating Hickman in connection with an attempt to cash a fraudulent check executed a search warrant last year at Hickman's home, where they discovered three sticks of dynamite in a box.
Hickman had previously been convicted of receiving known stolen property in California, illegal possession of a firearm in South Dakota, and forgery, identification theft and possession of a controlled substance in El Paso County, Colorado, Walsh said.
