ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Basalt police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are investigating the death of a man who was found in an irrigation ditch.

Authorities say landscape workers found the body Monday morning. Pitkin County coroner's officials identified the man Tuesday as 35-year-old Daniel Perez Mejia of Basalt. The cause of death wasn't immediately determined.

Basalt police are trying to find anyone who might have seen him after 11 p.m. Saturday.
