LYONS, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says a 47-year-old bicyclist was killed when he was struck by a vehicle in Lyons.
Authorities responded to the accident on Main Street just after 5 p.m. Saturday and tried to resuscitate the victim, whose name has not been released. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office says the driver, 69-year-old Patrick Allen Ward, was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide, careless driving resulting in death and DUI.
