TOY DRIVE: Help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver this holiday season! (Together 4 Colorado Toy Drive)

DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver Post is reporting gang-related violent crimes in Denver have nearly doubled in the first four months of this year.

The news comes despite the police program “Ceasefire” aimed to help gangsters lead more peaceful lives. Program directors say they won’t know the long-term effects of Ceasefire for at least a year. It has shown results in other cities.

So far five of this year’s 19 murders have been as gang-related.
