Pancakes For A Cause Benefit Boston Children's Hospital

DENVER (CBS4)- A popular local breakfast and brunch hangout is giving back to a city targeted in bombings last week with "Pancakes for a Cause."

Snooze restaurants in Colorado along the Front Range are flipping flapjacks with a special twist to benefit Boston Children's Hospital.

The idea to benefit the victims of the Boston bombings grew from one that was already on the menu.

"One of our favorite things we like to do is have a pancake of the day. This idea originally came from a location in San Diego we have. Each store is doing their own rendition of a Boston cream pie pancake. Proceeds will go to the Boston Children's Hospital," said Snooze server Shelley Landaal.

Snooze wanted their customers who usually dine out for breakfast and brunch to feel like they were doing something to give back while enjoying their favorite breakfast or maybe trying something new.

"We wanted to show the support that really is the best way we know how and that's through pancakes. We're excited to be doing that," said Landaal.

All three Snooze locations in the Denver metro area are offering their special pancakes along with locations in Boulder and Fort Collins. Snooze is open until 2:30 p.m.

All proceeds from the Boston cream pie pancake sales will benefit the Boston Children's Hospital.
