COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Commerce City helped capture a child porn suspect from Missouri after he allegedly stole some jerseys while posing as a reporter.

Joel White was arrested and charged with producing child pornography. The youth soccer coach traveled to Commerce City in March where police said he posed as a reporter for a stadium “press day.”

White, 40, was arrested after police claimed he stole All Star jerseys an other memorabilia during a World Cup qualifying match at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. At the time he was arrested, White had numerous cameras and other digital media storage devices with him.

After the arrest a detective asked to inspect the cameras because he was concerned that White was placing the items up for sale online. When the detective viewed the media he observed disturbing images of nude minors and contacted Lee’s Summit Missouri Police Department, where White lived.

Through further investigation police in Missouri determined that White was a coach for an girls under 12 soccer team and a girls under 15 soccer team.

After examining the evidence police determined that all the videos were taken in a bedroom of White’s home between May and October 2012. The parents of the alleged victims in the videos were contacted by Lee’s Summit Police.
