FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – Blowing snow is making travel treacherous in Northern Colorado, and emergency crews have closed two major roadways.

Northern Colorado got hit particularly hard with the latest snowstorm, and now winds are picking up.

Officials with the Colorado Department of Transportation closed Interstate 25 north of Fort Collins in a stretch up to the Wyoming border. The closure followed an accident, and it runs from Wellington to Cheyenne, Wyo.

CDOT also closed Highway 287 from Fort Collins to Laramie, Wyo., and Highway 85 from Ault to Cheyenne due to the weather conditions.
