2 More DPD Cops Resign During Internal Investigations

DENVER (CBS4) - CBS4 has learned that two more Denver police officers under investigation for inappropriate conduct have resigned from their jobs.

The most recent was Officer Scott Kida who was being investigated for having an inappropriate relationship with a domestic violence victim. He resigned from the department last Friday. He had been suspended March 12 with pay during the probe.

Also stepping down was Lt. Tim Rusk, who was arrested earlier this year for DUI and prohibited use of a firearm. He had previously been arrested in 2004 for DUI.

Rusk had been with the department since 1991 but retired March 24.

CBS4 previously reported that a third officer who had been under investigation after being accused of having sex in his patrol car also resigned. Officer Jairon Katz resigned April 5.
