Teen To Be Charged In String Of Fires In Park Hill Neighborhood

DENVER (CBS4)– A teenager faces charges of setting several fires in the Park Hill neighborhood last weekend.

Christopher Padgett is due to be formally charged next week with nine counts of second degree arson and one count of first degree arson.

Nine fires were set overnight April 7 along Dexter Street in the area between 23rd and 26th Streets.

Padgett, 18, is believed to have set fire to cars, garages and even a bush.

One fire burned a warehouse rented by Spinelli’s Market and caused extensive damage.
