Osprey To Get Tested In Colorado's Thin Air At Fort Carson
FORT CARSON, Colo. (CBS4) - Marines will be testing out the Osprey in Colorado's thin air at Fort Carson.
The Osprey's wings have helicopter-like rotors that can tilt and take off vertically and fly faster than a helicopter.
The Marines will begin a 10-day training cycle next week.
Fort Carson is a popular place for aviation units that are preparing to deploy to Afghanistan.
