Man Stabbed To Death In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A man is dead after being stabbed multiple times during an altercation in Aurora.

Sgt. Cassidee Carlson with Aurora police said officers were called to the 4200 block of South Quintero Court just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

"As officers were coming into the area they were flagged down at a nearby business by a witness who had been following the suspect from the scene. The suspect was detained without incident," Carlson said.

When officers arrived at the home where the stabbing took place they found a man suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"The preliminary investigation revealed that two males got into an altercation inside the house where one retrieved a knife and stabbed the other multiple times," Carlson said. "The suspect then left the house on foot. Other people were inside the home at the time. It is unclear how the parties involved and the other people in the house knew each other."

The suspect is being charged with first degree murder and will be held without bond. His name hasn't been released.
