Sterling Ranch Developers Find Water Source To Move Forward

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The planners of a massive development in Douglas County say they have found the water they need to move forward, according to CBS4's news partners at the Denver Business Journal.

Last year a judge blocked the Sterling Ranch project south of Chatfield Reservoir, saying developers didn't have an adequate water source for the 3,400 new homes. Now those developers say they have an option to buy water from a nearby ranching family.

The updated plan now goes back to Douglas County commissioners for a re-approval.
