LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4)- A fire marshal who had been drinking when he responded to a restaurant fire has retired.
It was announced Wednesday that Merlin Green retired from Loveland Fire Rescue.
Green was placed on leave after being cited with driving while ability impaired or DWAI.
He worked with Loveland Fire Rescue for 27 years.
Firefighters said Green did not help fight the fire he was responding to.
