Arizona Murder Suspect Arrested In Colorado
PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting last year in San Tan Valley has been arrested in Colorado.
The U.S. Marshals Service says 28-year-old Corey Allen was taken into custody Friday in Leadville on an arrest warrant that charged him with first-degree murder and kidnapping.
Allen was booked into the Lake County jail, where he awaits extradition to Arizona.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says it received an emergency call in November 2012 from Nicole Frauton saying one of her acquaintances was threatening her mother inside the family home. Deputies responded to find Linda Perelli-Brown shot multiple times.
Investigators identified Allen as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.
The U.S. Marshal for Arizona, David Gonzales, says finding Allen has been a priority for the agency.
