A deadly SUV crash on I-70 near Deer Trail (credit: CBS)
BYERS, Colo. (CBS4)- Colorado State Patrol investigated a deadly crash on Interstate 70 near Deer Trail on Friday.
One person in the SUV was killed. Two children in the vehicle were rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. Two adults were also hospitalized.
State troopers believe the SUV was driving east on I-70 when the driver somehow lost control and rolled into the westbound lanes of the interstate.
Westbound lanes of I-70 near Deer Trail, southeast of Byers, were closed for several hours during the investigation and crash cleanup.
The identities of those involved have not been released.
