LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Lakewood questioned three people who were taken into custody in connection with a homicide early Thursday.

The three were taken into custody after leading police in Denver on a pursuit that ended in the 2800 block of Shoshone in Englewood.

The vehicle was described to Lakewood detectives earlier in the day as a black Dodge Durango.

Witnesses indicated to detectives they believed the vehicle may have been connected to the shooting that happened at 9:45 a.m. at the 12th Avenue Apartments near 12th and Yarrow. That’s in the area near Jefferson County Open School, and it was on lock-out for a short period of time.

Police have not identified the victim in the shooting or the three people taken into custody.
