Colorado Springs Police Phone Lines Down

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say phone service to their operations center has been cut off and emergency calls are being routed to the El Paso County Sheriff's Department.

It's not known when service will be restored.

Police say telephone service was interrupted Tuesday morning. The cause wasn't immediately clear.

Police are asking that non-emergency calls be delayed until the phones are working again.
