LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) – The Breckenridge Brewery Company considered expanding outside Colorado, but now they’ve found the right place to grow in Littleton.
The company announced Friday it would build a $20 million brewery complex along the South Platte River near Hudson Gardens. It’s expected to open in 2014 or 2015.
Breckenridge says it has outgrown its current brewery on Kalamath Street in Denver and considered opening a new facility on the East Coast. Instead, the new site will allow it to triple production.
The new brewery will include a visitors’ center, a retail area and a restaurant. It will also mean at least 60 new jobs.
