DENVER (CBS4) – Firefighters managed to quickly knock down the fire at 27th and Downing, keeping it outside of the building.
The people who were inside got out safely but plenty of people in the neighborhood saw the flames.
“The flames were taller than all the houses out here,” a witness said. “Probably 30 feet in the air.”
That witness also said he thought he saw fireworks in a shed that was burning behind one of the duplexes.
