DENVER (CBS4) – The family of a 15-year-old boy who was gunned down over the weekend is pleading for the public’s help finding the person responsible.
Demetrius Cruz was with his cousin when a car rear-ended them. Someone then got out of the car then opened fire, killing Cruz.
The attack happened at Sheridan Boulevard near West Dartmouth.
Police have made no arrests nor have they named any suspects. The family is now asking anyone with information to speak up.
“If you know anything to help us find the killer of my little brother; it’s not right that killers are running around Denver, Colorado, not even around America,” Donovan Cruz said. “We need help to get one more killer in jail, off the streets.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Denver police at (720) 913-2000. Remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP (7867). Text to CRIMES (274637) then title DMCS and enter the message or send an e-mail to metro-denvercrimestoppers.com.
