JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A pet shop is offering a $250 reward for the return of a stolen puppy.
Employees say a young woman came in and picked up the Yorkshire Terrier at Perfect Pets in Southwest Plaza in Jefferson County. After walking around holding it for a bit, she left.
“We put (the dog) out here with good intentions, thinking she could play with customers, not thinking the wrong person would walk along and turn a good situation into something nasty,” Perfect Pets employee Rose Larsen told CBS4.
The theft has the owners of the pet store considering changing how it shows off puppies and allows customers to interact with them.
