Police Search For Greeley Funeral Director In Theft Case
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Greeley are searching for a funeral director wanted for theft.
Police have been investigating Paul Acuna, owner of Paul's Funeral Service, in Greeley for the past several months.
Acuna, 44, is being sought for theft from an at risk adult, theft and forgery charges. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Police said during the course of their investigation, they found several people had been making payments to Acuna for pre-paid funerals. They were promised that the contracts and/or money paid would be transferred to another business should Acuna's business ever close.
Paul's Funeral Service closed in April and none of the individuals have been notified nor any money refunded or transferred.
Acuna is believed to be living in the San Diego area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or who believes they are a victim of similar circumstances is asked to call the Greeley Police Department at 970-350-9600.
