Larimer County Commissioners Pass Panhandling Restrictions

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - It will soon be against the law to asking for money along the road or in parking lots in Larimer County.

Commissioners passed panhandling restrictions on Tuesday. The ban takes effect in 30 days and the fine is up to $1,000.

The Salvation Army is concerned because the move would ban bell ringing. But the county says bell ringers usually operate in towns and not in unincorporated parts of the county.
