DENVER (CBS4)- Things are getting wild at the Denver Zoo starting. On Friday the annual Zoo Light celebration got under way.
This is the 22nd year for the Zoo Lights event. During the month-long exhibit the zoo will be open during regular hours in the day and again from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at night.
There are more than two million light bulbs that decorate more than 38 square acres inside the zoo with more than 150 animated animal sculptures.
New this year is the Zoo Lights Lantern Festival taking place in Toyota Elephant Passage.
Zoo Lights continues through Jan. 2, 2013.
