COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A teenager and a young boy were killed after getting hit while pushing a van in Colorado Springs.

Investigators say a 17-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl were pushing the broken down van when another vehicle slammed into them at Pikes Peak near Parkside.

The 17-year-old boy died at the scene. The 9-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital and later died. The girl suffered a broken ankle. Three people inside the van were okay.

Police believe Robert Icenogle, 47, was driving under the influence of drugs when he hit them. He is currently being held in jail and will face DUI charges.
