DENVER (CBS4) – The numbers look good for hotels in Denver.

This past month marked the best October ever for the number of convention visitors staying at downtown hotels.

In all there were 81 conventions in October with 75,000 people who booked 118,000 rooms.

The high demand is driving up prices for hotels, which are filling up now for the holidays.
