Colorado Shooting Suspect Is Out Of Hospital
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — The man charged with the Colorado movie theater shootings is back in jail after a trip to a hospital for undisclosed reasons.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department wouldn't say when James Holmes returned to jail but said he was there by Thursday afternoon.
Defense attorneys told a judge Holmes was taken to a hospital Tuesday and couldn't attend a hearing that had been scheduled for Thursday. They withheld details, saying they didn't want to reveal privileged medical or psychiatric information.
The judge postponed the hearing until Dec. 10.
Denver media outlets, citing unnamed sources, reported Holmes was injured when he hit his head on a wall, apparently intentionally. Authorities wouldn't comment.
Holmes is charged with fatally shooting 12 people and injuring at least 58 in a crowded theater in July.
